KT&G (CEO Bang Kyung-man) has newly
introduced its “Master Hand System” this year, officially appointing three
Master Hands among all its corporate sectors. The system is designed to
cultivate highly skilled technicians in production as core talent, while
institutionalizing and disseminating KT&G’s unique, field-driven technical
expertise across the organization.
On August 4, KT&G held the “2025 Master
Hand Appointment Ceremony in Manufacturing Equipment” at its Daejeon
headquarters. At the event, three leaders were honored with the inaugural
title: Cho Young-il, Team Leader of the Cigarette Machinery Division (Daejeon
Factory); Shin Dong-guk, Group Leader of the Packaging Machinery Division
(Yeongju Factory); and Kang Tae-hoon, Team Leader of the Electronics &
Systems Division (Daejeon Factory). The newly appointed Master Hands are
recognized for their extensive on-site experience and outstanding expertise.
Moving forward, they will serve pivotal roles in delivering technical knowledge
and mentoring next-generation engineers.
With their leadership at the forefront,
KT&G plans to promote optimization of manufacture process, adoption of new
technologies, and technical R&D, further enhancing efficiency at its
manufacturing sites. The company will also focus on strengthening technological
self-sufficiency at its overseas plants and pioneer innovative technologies to
fuel future growth.
A KT&G spokesperson commented, “The launch
of the Master Hand System is a milestone that institutionalizes our
unparalleled field-based technical expertise, and ensures its systematic
transfer between generations. By expanding leadership in production and
technology throughout the organization, KT&G will secure its position as a
global leader in manufacturing.”
