KT&G Sangsang Madang Hongdae is hosting a pop-up store for the illustration character brand ‘CHANIBEAR’ until the 20th.

Launched in 2018, ‘Chanibear’ has released cute illustrated character products and has become a rising brand that continues to gain popularity among consumers.

The pop-up store, titled ‘MAKE A WISH!, CHANIBEAR,’ offers new character products from Chanibear, and visitors can participate in various events, such as making customized keyrings using purchased accessories and making personal wishes.

Previously, KT&G Sangsang Madang has hosted unique pop-up stores like ‘Semo's Summer Holiday,’ ‘Wiggle Wiggle's Happy Market,’ and ‘WALK WALK HONGDAE WITH ZERO PER ZERO,’ providing visitors to Sangsang Madang Hongdae with a variety of experiences.

A KT&G representative stated, “Sangsang Madang has provided designers with opportunities to promote their products to consumers through various events such as pop-up stores,” and added, “We will continue to plan diverse programs so that the public can encounter different brands.”

Meanwhile, KT&G Sangsang Madang supports the creative activities of emerging artists and offers extensive cultural experiences to the public. Since its inception at Sangsang Madang Hongdae in 2007, it has expanded to five locations including Nonsan, Chuncheon, Daechi, and Busan, contributing to the expansion of the cultural base and regional cultural development. Sangsang Madang attracts approximately 3 million visitors annually and hosts around 3,000 cultural and artistic programs each year.
