KT&G Scholarship Foundation’s Open Call for 2026 SangSang Scholarships for High School Students from Underserved Backgrounds
Provides academic support, including scholarships for high school students; applications accepted through November 6
The KT&G Scholarship Foundation is recruiting high school students for its SangSang Scholarship program to help teenagers from educationally underserved backgrounds pursue their studies in a stable environment and narrow gaps in access to educational opportunities.
The program is open to first-year high school students in Korea who have been recommended by a teacher and are recipients of basic livelihood security benefits, members of the near-poverty class, or children of eligible recipients. Applicants can apply through the KT&G Scholarship Foundation website by 4:00 PM on November 6.
A total of 250 selected scholarship recipients will receive an annual scholarship of KRW 2 million per person and access to an electronic library. Following an annual eligibility review, scholarship benefits may be provided for up to three years. Further details are available on the KT&G Scholarship Foundation website (scholarship.ktngtogether.com).
KT&G Scholarship Foundation Secretary General Ahn Hong-pil stated, “We continue to offer a variety of scholarship programs so that young people with dreams and potential can enjoy the learning opportunities they aspire to in a stable environment. We will continue to invest in nurturing the next generation of talent who will lead the future.”
Established in 2008, the KT&G Scholarship Foundation has long been offering various scholarship programs both domestically and internationally to support underprivileged students and foster future talents. Additionally, in partnership with the Korea Mecenat Association, the foundation supports students in the cultural and artistic fields each year, contributing to the discovery of young artists. Since its establishment, the total number of scholarship recipients has surpassed 15,000.
