Discounts on cultural activities, including movies, performances, and exhibitions, to begin in April
under the expanded Culture Day program
KT&G (CEO Bang Kyung-man) SangSang Madang will participate in the expanded Culture Day initiative starting this April by offering discounts every Wednesday on cultural activities such as movies, performances, and exhibitions.
Culture Day is an initiative that has been led by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism since 2014, aimed at encouraging broader public participation in cultural activities. Previously held on the last Wednesday of each month, the program will be expanded to every Wednesday starting in April.
Accordingly, visitors to SangSang Madang in Hongdae will be able to watch movies at a discounted price of KRW 6,000 (40% off the regular price of KRW 10,000) every Wednesday. SangSang Madang in Nonsan will offer campers a complimentary Americano, while locations in Hongdae, Chuncheon, and Busan will offer 50% discounts on performance and exhibition tickets. In addition, a variety of other cultural programs at SangSang Madang will be offered at discounted rates, along with special promotional events. Additional information is available on the KT&G SangSang Madang website (www.sangsangmadang.com).
“I support the Culture Day initiative, which provides more opportunities for people to enjoy cultural activities and encourages active participation,” said a KT&G SangSang Madang official. “We will continue to support the development of arts and culture by strengthening our core programs and initiatives.”
KT&G SangSang Madang serves as a multifaceted cultural and artistic space, supporting the creative activities of emerging artists while offering diverse cultural experiences to the public. Since starting with the online SangSang Madang in 2005, the platform has expanded to five locations, including Hongdae, Nonsan, Chuncheon, Daechi, and Busan, contributing to the development of local arts and culture as well as the broadening of artistic and cultural engagement. KT&G SangSang Madang hosts over 3,000 cultural and artistic programs every year.
