KT&G (CEO Bang Kyung-man) announced on October 1 that it participated in the 2025 TFWA World Exhibition & Conference, the world’s largest duty-free exhibition held in Cannes, France from September 29 to October 2 (local time). Hosted by the Tax Free World Association, TFWA World is the premier global event for the duty-free and travel retail industry. KT&G has participated annually to reinforce its position as a leading global tobacco manufacturer and expand its influence in the duty-free market. At this year’s exhibition, KT&G operated a dedicated brand zone, showcasing its flagship export brands, including ESSE—the world’s top-selling ultra-slim cigarette brand—alongside RAISON and BOHEM. Through digital displays, the KT&G also highlighted its global business performance and growth journey, while introducing a diversified product portfolio enhanced by innovative proprietary technologies applied across each product line. A KT&G spokesperson stated, “Our participation in this global duty-free exhibition served as an excellent opportunity to demonstrate our status as a global enterprise and explore new business collaborations with international partners. KT&G remains committed to broadening its presence in the global market through competitive products backed by distinguished technologies.” KT&G first entered the duty-free business in 1995 with the launch of “88 Light” in the Chinese duty-free market. Today, the company’s products are available in over 400 duty-free stores across more than 170 cities worldwide, including domestic airport duty-free shops. KT&G has steadily expanded its global footprint, now operating in 28 of Asia’s top 30 airports, further solidifying its capabilities and presence in the global duty-free sector.
