The KT&G Scholarship Foundation provided the Korea Juvenile Protection Association with 50 million won for the 2026 SangSang RESTART Scholarship on Feb. 4 to support the growth, stable social integration, and career development of at-risk youth. The SangSang RESTART Scholarship Program, conducted in cooperation with the Korea Juvenile Protection Association under the Ministry of Justice, selects exemplary at-risk youth and supports their journey toward social independence.
The KT&G Scholarship Foundation provided the Korea Juvenile Protection Association with 50 million won for the 2026 SangSang RESTART Scholarship on Feb. 4 to support the growth, stable social integration, and career development of at-risk youth. The SangSang RESTART Scholarship Program, conducted in cooperation with the Korea Juvenile Protection Association under the Ministry of Justice, selects exemplary at-risk youth and supports their journey toward social independence. The KT&G Scholarship Foundation has operated the program for 11 consecutive years since 2016. Through last year, a total of 702 youths have received scholarships, helping them build stable lives and pursue career pathways. This year, 110 recipients have been selected to receive scholarships. The scholarship funds will be used to support educational advancement, including preparation for high school qualification exams, certification acquisition, and assistance for stable living conditions. Ahn Hong-pil, Executive Secretary of the KT&G Scholarship Foundation, stated, “We will continue to provide unwavering support to offer hope to youths and help them move toward a brighter future. We hope that those in need of social support can grow in a healthy, stable environment.” Established in 2008, the KT&G Scholarship Foundation has long been offering various scholarship programs both domestically and internationally to support underprivileged students and foster future talents. Additionally, in partnership with the Korea Mecenat Association, the foundation supports students in the cultural and artistic fields each year, contributing to the discovery of young artists. Since its establishment, the total number of scholarship recipients has reached approximately 15,000.
